Dr. Martins is the Faculty Advisor and a professor in the Texas MSTC Program. Dr. Martins conducts research and consults on the role of managerial and group cognitive factors in innovation, entrepreneurship, creativity, change, and performance. His research has appeared in several leading management journals, such as Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal, Academy of Management Review, Academy of Management Journal, and Organization Science, and has been covered in major newspapers such as the New York Times and the Chicago Tribune. He has won numerous teaching awards for his courses on innovation, entrepreneurship, and organizational behavior, including the Joe D. Beasley Award for Teaching Excellence in the MBA Curriculum, the Outstanding Faculty Award from the Working Professionals MBA Program in Houston, and the Fawn and Vijay Mahajan Teaching Excellence Award for Executive Education.
His consulting and executive development clients include Accenture, Coca Cola, FBI Crime Labs, General Electric, Lockheed Martin, McKesson, NASA, and Samsung.
