Admissions

Note

RE 358 may be taken concurrently with the finance prerequisite course. To gain registration access for RE 358, non-finance students must first receive admission to the program and request a waiver from the Program Advisor.

Undergraduate students from any major may apply to the URE program. In order for your application to be considered for acceptance to the program, you must be a UT Austin degree-seeking student with upper-division standing, and have received credit or registration for ACC 310F and FIN 320F (non-business majors), or FIN 357 (business majors), prior to applying. Admission to the program is based on students’ overall academic record and their performance in any prerequisite course(s).

The 18 hours of real estate certificate classes usually require three long semesters to complete due to course availability and sequencing. Students may complete a maximum of nine hours of certificate coursework within one year of earning the undergraduate degree. All coursework must be completed in residence.
