Dr. Melissa Graebner is Associate Professor and CBA Foundation Advisory Council Fellow in the Department of Management at the McCombs School of Business. She teaches graduate courses in entrepreneurship and technology strategy, and has been selected for the MBA Faculty Honor Roll. Dr. Graebner has held visiting appointments at INSEAD and at the Guanghua School of Management at Peking University. She has also held elected positions in the Academy of Management and the Strategic Management Society.
Dr. Graebner’s research focuses on strategy in entrepreneurial firms, founding team decision making, and mergers and acquisitions in technology-based industries, and her scholarly work has been recognized by an award from the Academy of Management. Her research has been published in top journals and featured in popular outlets both in the US and abroad, including The Economist, New York Times Dealbook, Forbes.com, M&A Journal, and Le Monde.
Dr. Graebner has advised founders and boards of directors in the biotech, software and gaming industries and has worked as a management consultant for McKinsey & Co., where she focused on technology mergers and acquisitions.
