Dr. Matthew S. Eastin is an Associate Professor in the Moody College of Communication, Stan Richards School of Advertising and Public Relations, at the University of Texas at Austin. He teaches courses in media planning, newer media consumption, and research methods. He has published over 50 manuscripts, has published three academic books, and serves on four Editorial Boards. As a new media expert, Dr. Eastin’s research focuses on attitude, motivations and outcomes of new media consumption, gaming environments, and information processing of mediated messages. His research can be found in journals such as the Journal of Advertising Research, Journal of Internet Commerce, Human Communication Research, Communication Research, Media Psychology, and the Journal of Communication, to name a few. In addition to Keynote and numerous research presentations, Dr. Eastin has served as a research consultant to numerous companies across the U.S. and abroad, including the State Bar of Michigan, Columbus Bar Association, Ohio Academy of Trial Lawyers, JP Morgan Chase, VeriSIM, ExxonMobil, and the UT Energy Institute.
