Mr. Goodall has been practicing law in State College, Pennsylvania since 1976. He is certified as an elder law attorney (CELA) by the National Elder Law Foundation (NELF). Mr. Goodall is a Fellow of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys and is also a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel. He is President-elect of the Board of the National Elder Law Foundation. He is a member of the Special Needs Alliance, an organization of leading elder law and disability law attorneys located throughout the country, who specialize in planning for persons with special needs. He is involved in committee work for NELF, and is a contributing author for Lexis Nexis Tax, Estate & Financial Planning for the Elderly and Tax, Estate & Financial Planning for the Elderly: Forms & Practice. Mr. Goodall is a past president of the Centre County Bar Association, past chair of the PBA Lawyers Assistance Committee, a founding director (and continues as director) of the board of Lawyers Concerned for Lawyers, formerly a member of the Judicial Inquiry and Review Board, and also formerly a senior hearing committee member for the Disciplinary Board. He has received several pro bono and other community service awards, and is past president of the Centre County Community Foundation. Mr. Goodall has been recognized as a pre-eminent attorney by Martindale-Hubell for nearly a quarter century and has been selected for inclusion in Pennsylvania Super Lawyers® in the area of elder law by Philadelphia Magazine every year since that category was created. He has been recognized for a number of years in the list of Best Lawyers in America. He was awarded Lawyer of the Year (in Elder Law) status for Harrisburg for 2016 and Lawyer of the Year (in Trust and Estate Law) status for 2017.  He is a 1970 B.A. graduate of Franklin Marshall College, a 1974 J.D. graduate of Fordham University School of Law, and a 2009 LL.M (with distinction) graduate of Stetson University School of Law. Before coming to Centre County, he was a judicial law clerk to Frederic S. Berman (NYC Criminal Judge and now NYS Supreme Court Justice), Gerard L. Goettel (SDNY Magistrate and now U.S. District Court Judge) and to the late Michael H. Sheridan, Chief Judge of the Middle U.S. District of Pennsylvania.
