Higher education is an increasingly competitive marketplace, and with this new landscape comes an acknowledgement that to compete for the best students and faculty, to generate significant donor and funding agency investment, and to command adequate tuition levels, schools need more than just great curricula. They require great Marketing with a capital “M”, along with innovation, and—importantly—a differentiated and consistently messaged positioning in a sea of similarly positioned institutions.

Texas Executive Education—a leader in the professional development space for over 50 years—has developed a comprehensive program and associated certification designed specifically to cater to the needs of higher education marketers. Whether you are looking to develop and/or maximize an effective brand management strategy, want to improve your institution’s image and value equation in the marketplace, need to build engagement with your board or university leaders, are planning to reorganize your marketing function, or just need to immerse yourself in the latest thinking on a wide variety of marketing topics and trends, this program is for you. IHEM is built on a hybrid approach to learning, utilizing both a cohort experience and a customized selection of elective courses. To achieve certification, attendees must attain 6 total credits via:

  • A five-day in person Core Curriculum, worth 3 credits.
  • Open Enrollment classes to be taken over the course of 1-3 years. Open Enrollment classes will be offered to IHEM participants at 25% discount and are worth either 1 or 2 credits.
