Stacy Abrams is a lecturer, senior career coach, and course manager at the McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas at Austin. She manages a course on career planning and professional development and coaches students in all Texas McCombs majors, with expertise in helping international students and students pursuing management information systems, business analytics, and finance degrees.
Her work includes designing educational programs for career exploration and development. She coaches students through every step of the career journey: mock interviews, résumé reviews, business correspondence, LinkedIn, and job search strategy creation. She also develops and delivers workshops, panels, and other events for her students and for the broader BBA student population.
Abrams has held several other positions at UT, including senior academic program coordinator at Dell Medical School and special projects coordinator at Texas McCombs.
Abrams is a lifelong swimmer and a member of the Longhorn Aquatics Masters Swim Team. She volunteers as the South Texas vice chair and sanctions coordinator for U.S. Masters Swimming, a national nonprofit for adult athletes of all abilities.
Abrams holds a B.A. in East Asian studies from Lewis & Clark College in Oregon, and she also studied for a year at Waseda University’s School of International Liberal Studies in Tokyo.
