Volunteer and Get Involved
Mentorship Program
The McCombs Black Alumni Mentorship Program provides an opportunity for McCombs alumni to create meaningful connections with current students at McCombs. The program offers a platform for McCombs alumni to provide invaluable professional guidance and ongoing support to these students, empowering them to confidently navigate their business school journey at McCombs and thereafter.
Mentees are expected to initiate contact with their mentors within two weeks of their match. Mentors and mentees are then asked to communicate at least once a month. Students can only sign up at the beginning of the fall semester and will receive correspondence about how to request a mentor. Matching will be completed by the beginning of October.
For more information, complete the Mentorship Interest Form.
Mock Interview Program
The Alumni Mock Interview Program is a dynamic initiative designed to support the professional growth of our current students. This program pairs our alumni with first and second-year students, offering them the chance to engage in mock interviews during the critical recruiting period for internships and full-time positions. Through tapping into the expertise and guidance of our alumni, we empower our students with the essential skills and techniques to excel in interviews and actively pursue their career aspirations.
Interviewees are expected to initiate contact with their mock interviewer within two weeks of their match. Interviewers and interviewees are then asked to schedule a time and preferred method of communication to conduct the mock interview. Meeting frequency is at the interviewer's and interviewee's discretion.
For more information, complete the Mock Interview Interest Form.
Committees
Members are encouraged to join a wide range of committees focused on various areas such as events, fundraising, career development, community outreach, and more. By becoming a committee member, alumni have the opportunity to collaborate with other alumni from diverse backgrounds, share ideas, and contribute to the continued success of our association.
