Please join the McCombs Austin Chapter as we celebrate Columbia Business School (member '21), Stanford Business School (member '22), and Northwestern Kellogg School of Management (member '23) joining the Consortium for Graduate Study in Management.

The Consortium connects people, institutions, and companies that have shown a commitment to their mission to enhance diversity and inclusion in global business education and leadership. Specifically, they foster a network of the country’s best students, leading MBA programs, and corporate partners, including Fortune 500 companies. They provide a streamlined application process to member schools to award merit-based, full-tuition fellowships to top MBA candidates who have a proven record of promoting inclusion in their schools, jobs, and/or personal lives.

The event will feature a panel of alumni from the different schools discussing their experience with the Consortium before, during, and after their MBA program.

Paid parking is available in the AT&T Conference Center. The parking garage entrance is on 20th Street. There is also free street parking available in the government district near Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.

Texas McCombs Homecoming Weekend

Join us for Homecoming Weekend on Sept. 29 – 30, 2023, for a half-day business conference with outstanding McCombs faculty members (in person), a BBQ tailgate before the home football game against Kansas, and a reunion reception for five-year class reunions (classes of '18, '13, '08, etc.). Reconnect with your classmates, network with fellow alumni, and get back into the classroom! Texas McCombs Homecoming will feature three main events. Pick and choose or attend all three!

Alumni Business Conference

Join McCombs faculty members and industry experts in the classroom for presentations and panel discussions on hot topics in business. This is an in-person event, but recordings of the sessions will be issued to those who register. CPE credits are available by request for all in-person participants. No prerequisites or advance preparation are required.

The alumni tailgate will take place 2.5 hours before the UT vs. Kansas football game on Saturday, Sept. 30. This event is family-friendly and includes a BBQ buffet, photo booth, and balloon artist.
 
Cost: $65 for adults; $10 for children (includes bbq buffet, beer, wine, and entertainment)

Attend one event, or bundle and save! The deadline to pre-register is Monday, Sept. 25. Ticket refunds are available before Sept. 25 and do not include the $7.25 service fee per ticket.

Please join the McCombs Houston Alumni Chapter for our monthly lunch series! We are excited to have Chris Boleman, Ph.D, as our speaker this month.
Chris is the president and chief executive officer of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo™. Having joined HLSR in 2017, he was promoted to his current role in 2020 and was an instrumental figure in the reorganization plan for the HLSR and the subsequent plan implementation, no doubt playing a part in Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo™ being recognized, for the second time as 2022 ACM Fair/Rodeo of the Year at the 16th Annual Academy of Country Music Honors.
Chris has been heavily involved in various organizations within the agriculture industry, has held various leadership positions in both private and public sectors, and is an author and educator.
