Aruhn Venkat

Aruhn Venkat is an assistant professor in accounting at The University of Texas at Austin’s McCombs School of Business. He studies bank taxation, business tax avoidance, law and accounting, and he has given several presentations at conferences on accounting and taxation.

Venkat teaches Introduction to Taxation and Fundamentals of Taxation. Before coming to UT, he was a teaching assistant for income taxation, business taxation, taxes and business strategy, principles of accounting, ethics in business and accounting, and managerial accounting for executives at the University of California—Irvine.

Venkat has a Ph.D. in accounting management from the University of California—Irvine, an M.A. in economics from American University, a J.D. from the University of Nevada, and a B.A. in political science from the University of Southern California. He was admitted to the State Bar of Nevada in 2014.
