Ronghuo Zheng is an associate professor of accounting at The University of Texas at Austin’s McCombs School of Business, teaching courses on managerial cost accounting.

A respected researcher, Zheng has published numerous articles, with his most influential ones analyzing corporate disclosure, information system design, and organ transplantation. His paper on examining investor uncertainty in manager reporting objectives found, for the first time, empirical evidence that compensation disclosures affect how investors perceived companies. Another paper examining the effect of introducing new airline routes on kidney sharing helps inform policymakers by highlighting operational constraints that threaten to hold back the organ transplantation system.

Zheng earned Ph.D. and M.S. degrees in industrial administration from Carnegie Mellon University. He attended Tsinghua University in China to earn a Bachelor of Engineering in automation and a Bachelor of Arts in economics.
