MSF - Master of Science in Finance | MSF Career Services

The Texas Master of Science in Finance program provides a unique opportunity for students to receive graduate-level training to prepare for careers in finance, especially those requiring analytic rigor and quantitative skills. Throughout the demanding 10-month program taught by McCombs' award-winning professors, students gain practical knowledge that allows them to be assets to industry firms.

The MSF Career Services office is dedicated to working with employers through the recruiting process. Please contact Renée de Lota to start developing a recruiting plan that works for you. Further information on recruitment at McCombs is available on the McCombs Career Services website.

Resume Books

The Texas MSF Student Resume Book is readily available through Symplicity or by contacting Renée de Lota.

Build Your Presence

There are several ways for employers to get involved with the students and increase their reach to qualified candidates.  Participating in career-related events puts employers and recruiters in a more intimate setting with students and increases company visibility. Events that the MSF Career Services office has held in the past include mock interviews, case study preparation, etiquette dinners and panels. We are always open to new ideas and excited to work with companies to find the best plan for recruiting. For more details on upcoming events, please visit the MSF Involvement Opportunities. If you are interested in participating in any events, please contact Renée de Lota.

Event Sponsorships

Interested in increasing your visibility amongst MSF students? Consider sponsoring a meal (breakfast, lunch or dinner) or career-services event during orientation. Orientation takes place in mid-July each calendar year. Employers will gain exclusive contact with students and be able to speak to the student population about their companies and potential career opportunities. For more details or to propose ideas for an event, please contact Renée de Lota.

Pre-program Internships

The MSF Program seeks to recruit students with proven academic records and demonstrable quantitative skills. Get an early look at the students slated to start the MSF Program in the fall through pre-program internships. Students that are accepted as early admits have the opportunity to submit their resumes to internship postings for the summer prior to the MSF Program start. Internships will typically run from mid-May to mid-July. Applicants will be enrolled to the program for the summer and have student status during the internship. If you are interested in including MSF students in your internship resume collections, please contact Renée de Lota.
