BBA Finance – Real Estate Track

McCombs BBA finance majors can focus in real estate and also participate in co-curricular activities through membership in the Undergraduate Real Estate Society (URES). The real estate track requires two courses in finance - banking and capital markets, plus two courses in real estate development, finance, investment, or the student-managed Real Estate Funds.

  • FIN 354 - Money, Banking, & Economic Conditions OR 371M - Money & Capital Markets (REQUIRED)
  • FIN 377.3* OR 377.4 - Security OR Financial Analysis (REQUIRED)

BBA Real Estate Electives

Six hours (two courses) of Real Estate Electives:

  • RE 358 Introduction to Real Estate and Urban Land Development
  • RE 378K Real Estate Finance and Syndication (spring)
  • RE 376G Real Estate Investment (fall)

* FIN 377.3 is available only to students in the Financial Analyst Program

Through URES (Undergraduate Real Estate Society), the Center offers several co-curricular activities that augment time spent in the classroom. Benefits include specialized real estate career assistance, exclusive project and company visits, software trainings, case competitions, industry conferences and more.

Student-Managed Funds
  • WORKING WITH MBA FUND MANAGERS

    BBA Finance majors have the exclusive opportunity to work as analysts alongside full-time MBA fund managers in a joint classroom setting. Students manage and actively invest Center funds in publicly traded Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs) and privately held real estate assets.

  • DOUBLE DOWN ON REAL ESTATE

    Are you ready to take your real estate skills to the next level? BBA finance majors can pursue the Real Estate Certificate and count two real estate track courses toward the certificate requirements.
