Commencement Ceremony & Reception
The MS Programs Commencement Ceremony, which encapsulates the graduating class of the MS Business Analytics, MS Finance, MS IT & Management, MS Marketing, and MS Technology Commercialization, will be held on Friday, May 9, 2025. The Ceremony begins promptly at 12:00 pm and takes place in Gregory Gym.
Guests of the graduates will be able to enter Gregory Gym at 11:30 a.m. through the main stairs. The ADA entrance can be found right before the staircase.
General Guest Information
No tickets are required for guests to attend this Ceremony. Graduates are responsible for informing their program staff with a rough idea of how many people they intend to invite. The deadline to inform staff has passed.
The doors to the main plaza entrance (via the main staircase) will open at exactly 11:30 am for all guests. Seating is available on a first come, first serve basis.
Security Checkpoints
There will be several security checkpoints at the main entrance for guests to go through. This involves going through Magnetometers (metal detectors) as well as abiding by the University’s clear bag policy. To make this process go smoothly, all guests should prepare to stand in a single file line and have their clear bags out in front to be ready for a bag search.

Guest Parking & Traffic Flow
Parking at all UT garages is free and open to the public. We recommend parking at one of the following on-campus garages:
- Brazos Garage: located off Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. (this is the closest garage to Gregory Gym)
- San Jacinto Garage: located off San Jacinto Blvd.
- Trinity Garage: located off Trinity Street
Please keep in mind that several other ceremonies are happening on campus before, after, and at the same time as the MS Programs Commencement Ceremony. Therefore, we recommend getting to campus as soon as you can. Be advised that the Brazos Garage tends to be the most popular and congested garage. During Commencement weekend, traffic flow changes making some streets closed while others become one way. McCombs will share a map of the new traffic flow pattern once it is ready to be released to the public.
Commencement Receptions
Immediately following the ceremony, we will be hosting several receptions for all guests. Please make sure you coordinate with your graduate on where you should be going. Staff will present to guide you to the correct reception space.
