STudent Perspectives

Headshot of Mkola Kapanga

“Commercial real estate plays a huge role in our society, and I want to be knowledgeable about the sector. Pursuing an Architectural Engineering Major with a Minor in Real Estate gives me the opportunity to join my passion for architecture with the business side of commercial real estate. The Real Estate Center has offered opportunities to travel and meet with different CRE companies to expand my knowledge even more.”

Mkola Kpanga | BS, Architectual Engineering

“I got involved with the Real Estate Center to explore the world of commercial real estate. My involvement gave me opportunities to attend networking events, panels, and even treks to New York and LA for company visits and conferences. These experiences allowed me to grow my understanding of the industry, connect with new people, and opened the door for career opportunities. I am so grateful for the Real Estate Center team for their willingness and diligence in helping me and fellow students expand our knowledge of the commercial real estate industry.”

“I’m drawn to commercial real estate because of its potential for growth and the opportunity to make a tangible impact on the community. I was immersed in commercial real estate from a young age, often accompanying my dad to construction sites in India. This early exposure instilled in me a deep passion for the industry’s dynamic nature and pay-for-performance model.”
