    The BBA Women’s Council (BBAWC) provides a forum for undergraduate businesswomen to learn about, and discuss current issues and opportunities in business. BBAWC participants learn how to prepare for success after graduation, how to network with prominent women in business, and about the challenges women may face in the workforce.     The McCombs Diversity Council (MDC) is designed to educate students about diversity and diversity-related issues in the workplace.     The Career Shadowing Program (CSP) is an unpaid, one day experience during which Texas BBA students are exposed to a professional business environment. “Shadowing” allows a student to walk through a typical day with a working professional, giving students a sneak peek into various positions and different careers.     BBA Corporate Mock Interviews are a great way to build your company’s reputation and presence on campus. Representatives from your company interview students for mock positions and give the BBA students valuable feedback. The fall 2015 Corporate Mock Interviews will be held on September 8, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Please contact Mandy Kious (email) to sign-up to participate (no registration fee).

    The Employer Panel (Topic: Rotational Programs) helps you connect with BBA students in an informal setting while sharing personal experiences and valuable insight into specific industries, careers and career-focused topics. The fall 2015 Employer Panel will be held on September 8, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Please contact Shannon Hickson (email) to express interest in participating (no registration fee).

    Last Call: Career Week Networking event (Previously Career Week Sneak Peek) wraps up the BBA Career Week and is a great opportunity for employers and students to talk about: company culture, work environment, available opportunities, advice sharing, etc. This event will be held September 10, 2015 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.  You must register to attend.     BBA Etiquette Dinners (held each fall and spring) include a networking session and instruction in the do's and don'ts of business dining etiquette. Employers are seated with approximately 70 students to share stories and give advice on business networking.     Connect with BBA McCombs alumni and current students by joining our LinkedIn Group: Texas BBA Career Services Student, Alumni, and Employer Network and Subgroups: Texas BBA Student, Alumni, and Employer Mentor Network and Texas BBA International Student, Alumni and Employer Network. You can also use our LinkedIn Group to post a discussion about your job/internship posting and lead students to apply in our On-Campus Recruiting System (OCR) or McCombs Job Board (you must be posted in a McCombs system).

    Message Monitors - We can also promote your events and programs (not job/internship postings) on our several HD video screens at McCombs. Please use the provided blank template to create your slide.

    Promotion Policies: 

    The following policies have been created to help employers maximize awareness. Please note an employer must have posted an opportunity in our On-Campus Recruiting System (OCR) or McCombs Job Board (MJB) within the year to schedule promotion. Please email Shannon Hickson (email) regarding more information on how to utilize Texas BBA Career Services' social media resources and to schedule promotion. Please send all promotional materials 3-4 weeks before your event/program.

    We will not promote:

    • Jobs and internships
    • Events and programs that compete with BBA Career Services events or industry competitors
    • Information Sessions that do not have a correlated job/internship posting in the On-Campus Recruiting System (OCR)
    • Events serving alcohol

    Fall 2015 Undergraduate Career Expo

    When: September 9, 2015 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.

    Where: UT RecSports, UT - Austin

    The Undergraduate Career Expo (held fall and spring) provides opportunities for employers to recruit full-time and internship candidates at the McCombs School of Business. The Expo is open to current McCombs School of Business students in the BBA, MBA, MPA, MSBA, MSF and MSTC programs from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. It is open to all UT Austin students from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.

    The expo is the largest McCombs School of Business career fair. It's hosted by the Undergraduate Career Committee and McCombs BBA Career Services.

    Registration & Payment

    Registration for the Fall 2015 Undergraduate Career Expo will open in late spring. Please contact Rachel Rucker (email) with any questions. 

    Registration fee includes an 6’ x 10’ booth and table, 2 parking permits, 8 ft. skirted table, two chairs, company sign, lunch and snacks for up to 4 representatives per booth.

    • Regular Registration: $650.00 
    • Late Registration: $700.00 

    Additional Fees (See more details in the Undergraduate Career Expo registration form opening late spring.)

    • Event Sponsor: $2,000
    • Additional Parking Permits (2 included): $12
    • Additional Company Representatives (4 included): $40 per person (includes meal and parking permit)
    • Booth Electricity (not included in booth purchase): $75

    If you are carrying display materials to the Expo, proceed to the loading zone located between RecSports and Montcrief-Neuhaus Athletic Center before parking. There will be volunteers in the loading zone assisting you with your materials and delivering them to your booth.  PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE YOUR VEHICLE UNATTENDED.

    We recommend Brazos Garage (BRG), Manor Garage (MAG), and Trinity Garage (TRG). Please see additional garage locations.

    Posting Recommendations

    Posting in the On-Campus Recruiting System and/or McCombs Job Board

    The Undergraduate Career Expo is a great opportunity to promote your available positions. We recommend that you post those positions in our On-Campus Recruiting System and/or McCombs Job Board in preparation to attend the event. We also recommend including information about your available positions in the career expo registration, which will be used to populate the career expo student brochure.

    Resume Submission Deadline Recommendations

    We recommend that your resume submission deadline(s) fall on or after the Monday following the Undergraduate Career Expo. This will allow students time to apply to your position(s) after meeting your company at the event. If your schedule does not allow time for this recommended deadline, we advise to extend your deadline to midnight on the evening of the career expo. Please reach out to your Recruitment Account Manager to discuss potential changes to your resume submission deadlines.


Student Organizations

There are over thirty McCombs BBA student organizations and many focus on particular industries or career interests. Employers are welcome to partner with the McCombs Affiliated Student Organizations for organization events and meetings.
