Who We Are
The University of Texas Energy Management Program (EMP) is an AAPL (American Association of Professional Landmen) accredited undergraduate program. The program combines traditional academic coursework with practical knowledge and experiences to provide insight into one of the world’s most vital and volatile industries.
The EMP leverages expertise across the McCombs, Jackson, Cockrell, LBJ and Law schools by offering course work in business, geoscience, petroleum operations, and law. In addition to interdisciplinary course work, students are given multiple experiential learning opportunities and a chance to network with industry professionals from domestic and global companies.
The Energy Management (EM) Minor is designed to develop decision makers, leaders, and policy builders who have the technical expertise and business acumen to participate in the interdisciplinary teams that will be required to address our energy future.
