MSF Career Development

What you do after graduation is important to us. MSF Career Development offers our students a wide variety of career development courses, networking events, and one-on-one career advising to help you reach your employment goals. Career Development also gets feedback directly from employers; this helps us better prepare our graduates to enter into the business world and become leaders within the community.

Lainey Corliss
Senior Program Coordinator, Corporate and External Relations
Lainey Corliss currently co-manages External Relations for the McCombs School of Business Master of Science Programs at The University of Texas at Austin. Initially a recruiter for the hospitality industry, Lainey has worked within higher education for ten years, including as a director for Vatterott College, as a graduate level course instructor for Colorado Technical University, and as a senior advisor for Le Cordon Bleu Colleges.

Renée de Lota Renée de Lota
Texas MS Programs, Corporate and External Relations
Renée de Lota currently co-manages the External Relations for the McCombs School of Business Master of Science Programs at The University of Texas at Austin. Prior to joining the Texas MSF Program in 2012, Renée worked at Anchorage Capital Group in New York City where she worked with the Portfolio Group. She has experience advising students in both a one-on-one capacity and in a classroom setting. Renée received her BBA from The University of Texas at Austin and her MBA from Texas State University. She enjoys working with employers and alumni on engagement opportunities with current students.

Abby Pollard Abby Pollard
Career Coach, MS Programs
Abby Pollard is the Career Coach for the MSF program, helping students prepare for careers in business. Abby works directly with students to assist with their career exploration and job search, utilizing a variety of methodologies including resume and professional writing preparation, workshops, and mock interviews. Prior to joining the McCombs School of Business, Abby spent two years as a campus recruiter for Dimensional Fund Advisors, a global investment management firm.

Abby holds a Master of Arts in Counseling from St. Edward’s University and Bachelor of Arts in Developmental Psychology from DePaul University. She has over ten years’ experience working in various corporate environments and industries, and is passionate about inspiring others to become the best versions of themselves by finding fulfilling careers.
