Claudia Esquivel is a lecturer in the Department of Finance at The University of Texas at Austin’s McCombs School of Business. She is also chief financial officer of Sirius Education Solutions, an Austin company providing resources for students and teachers preparing for the State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness.

Esquivel is skilled at corporate finance, strategic planning, operations management, marketing, and business development. She was previously chief financial officer and chief operations officer of GTG Capital. Esquivel has also been a vice president with GSM, an automotive marketing company; a senior director with Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, a publisher of educational and reference materials; and a brand and merchandising manager with Dell.

She is a charity liaison with the National Charity League and has served as treasurer on the board of the Harvard Business School Alumni Club of Austin.

Esquivel holds an MBA in general management from the Harvard Business School and a BBA in marketing and accounting from Texas McCombs.
