Saad Siddiqui

Saad Siddiqui is a clinical assistant professor of accounting at The University of Texas at Austin’s McCombs School of Business. He teaches “Information Technology for Accounting and Controls.” His research focuses on the intersection of accounting, regulation, and technology. Among Siddiqui’s publications are articles in the Review of Accounting Studies, the Bulletin of Economic Research, and Strategic Finance. He also serves on the editorial review board for Accounting Horizons.

Prior to joining McCombs, Siddiqui held faculty positions at Villanova University and The George Washington University. From 2013 to 2021, he was also the associate director and senior financial economist at the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board, where he was responsible for preparing economic models that informed the board’s oversight activities and conducted research in support of its mission.

Siddiqui is a certified public accountant and has a Ph.D. in accounting from The University of Memphis.
