Your Career Journey at McCombs
Career Course
Career development starts in the classroom. One of your first McCombs courses is taught by a career coaching professional and introduces you to career exploration, employer trends, and in-demand skills. You’ll learn about McCombs majors, develop your résumé, write a cover letter, and gain foundational interview preparation to support your recruiting journey.
Specialized Career Coaching
Professional career coaches provide personalized support aligned with your interests, goals, and stage in the recruiting process. Whether you’re exploring industries, refining application materials, or preparing for interviews, coaches help you create a clear plan. Peer Coaches, current students trained in career advising, offer an additional perspective on internships, recruiting, and navigating McCombs as a BBA student.
Required Internship
All BBA students complete an internship before graduation. Internships allow you to gain hands-on experience, explore potential career paths, and build professional skills in real-world settings. They also provide valuable opportunities to expand your network and clarify your goals before entering the full-time job market.
Meet Potential Employers
McCombs offers ongoing opportunities for BBA students to connect with employers across industries. Through career fairs, employer information sessions, networking events, and on-campus programming, students can learn about organizations, explore roles, and build professional relationships throughout the year.
