There are three approaches to earn your Master in Professional Accounting degree through the McCombs School.
Which suits you best?
Master in Professional Accounting
12 to 18 month long master’s program
Designed for applicants who have already earned a bachelor's degree, whether in business, liberal arts, natural sciences and other disciplines
Qualify to sit for the CPA exam upon program completion (for most states)
MPA
Integrated BBA/MPA approach
5 year program; you earn your BBA and MPA degrees concurrently
Take as many as half of your graduate level courses at undergraduate tuition rates
Qualify to sit for your CPA exam while you are still in school (for most states)
BBA program’s required internship can be filled with internship at outstanding MPA partner companies
BBA/MPA
Integrated B.A.Econ/MPA approach
5 year program; you earn your Econ BA and MPA degrees concurrently
Take up to 12 hours of your graduate level courses at undergraduate course rates
Qualify to sit for the CPA exam upon program completion (for most states)
GMAT, application and transcript fees waived
Econ/MPA

In addition, MPA students work with outstanding, internationally-renowned faculty and interact on a regular basis with outstanding business professionals through the MPA Lyceum series and other venues.
Marketability. Nearly 200 national and international organizations, representing more than 25 different industries, aggressively recruit MPA students for internships and/or full-time positions. Most MPA students accept offers for permanent positions before or within a few month of graduating from the McCombs School.
Flexibility. The MPA degree equips you with in the in-depth knowledge and relevant, transferable skills you need to succeed in any professional context or business setting. Many MPA graduates begin their careers in public accounting and end up as financial officers, controllers or executives of major corporations.
