Since business meetings, trainings, and networking events often involve eating, dining etiquette is an essential career skill. At the MPA Etiquette Dinner, students will learn how to navigate business and recruiting dining occasions with class. As a participating organization, you will interact with MPA students throughout the meal and educate them about available career opportunities. A networking dessert reception at the end provides a chance to connect with additional students.
There is a maximum of 2 representatives for this event.
For more information, please contact Michelle Polkinghorn.
Registration Note: This event is included in the MPA Premium Opportunities Program benefits. Contact Jim Franklin for information on how you can participate in this program.
The MPA Networking Reception provides a venue to connect with students prior to the fair in a format that offers both structured speed networking and open networking. Light refreshments will be served. To keep the focus of the reception on person-to-person interaction, please reserve company giveaway items, signage and literature for the MPA Career Fair the following day.
Registration for the MPA Career Fair is a prerequisite for registering for the MPA Networking Reception.

Held just before the fall semester begins, the MPA Career Fair provides an opportunity for you to be among the first to recruit Texas MPA students. With limited employer slots and expected attendance of 120 students, this tailored event allows participants to have targeted and meaningful interactions. The majority of attending students will graduate in 2016. While some are seeking internships, most are interested in full-time positions.
Registered organizations are invited to bring company giveaway items, signage and literature to this event. Each organization will be assigned an eight-foot table with cloth and two chairs. Prior to the fair, MPA Career Services will host a brunch meeting to provide information on the incoming class and the latest employment statistics. Registrants will be the first to access the Fall 2015 MPA Resume Book. The publication will be emailed to the primary contact at each registered organization prior to the MPA Career Fair.
MPA Mock Interview Marathon allows you to create a student-friendly image, build your company brand on campus, and identify great candidates early by conducting mock interviews to help students improve their interviewing skills. This event is open to all MPA students (third-, fourth-, and fifth-year integrated, as well as traditional).
This event is not open to priority registration. We will send an email with registration instructions on May 7, at which time reservations will be accepted in the order received.
For more information, please see our MPA Mock Interview Marathon Information Sheet or contact Jo Chauvin.
