We are honored to deliver the full Texas McCombs MBA experience to working professional students in Austin. You'll take courses on Monday and Tuesday evenings, focusing on core business foundations, in addition to tailoring your experience with 5 new electives. And on Monday mornings, you'll return to your office with fresh ideas and big plans. 

  • Announcing a Redesigned Evening MBA Experience

    Starting Fall 2024, incoming Evening MBA students will have the opportunity to earn their degree faster - in just 21 months without career interruption - while still experiencing all the hallmarks of the top-ranked Texas McCombs MBA. The program redesign will allow students to tailor their degree with new elective offerings focusing on leadership, technology, and global business coursework, in addition to providing more networking opportunities with other Working Professional MBA students in our Dallas and Houston programs.

MBA Orientation

Your journey begins at the Texas McCombs MBA orientation - an opportunity to meet your new classmates, start learning from McCombs faculty and launch your studies on The University of Texas at Austin campus.

Year One - Fall

Your first semester begins in the fall in Austin and will focus on building your foundational business knowledge. Coursework includes:

  • Business Integrity
  • Financial Accounting
  • Statistics
  • Financial Management 
  • Leading for Impact

 

Year One - Spring

Your second semester builds upon the first, as you dive into the next phase of our core curriculum. Coursework includes:

  • Leading People & Organizations 
  • Business Analytics & Decision Modeling
  • Valuation
  • Flexible Elective Course: Directed Studies in Global Management
  • Marketing Management

 

Summer Semester

The summer builds on the momentum from your first year. Coursework includes:

  • Operations Management
  • Managerial Microeconomics 

 

Year Two - Fall

You’re now more than halfway toward your Texas McCombs MBA degree. In your second fall semester, your course schedule begins to develop laser focus, including the following classes:

  • Financial Statement Analysis
  • Marketing Analytics 
  • Managerial Accounting 
  • Elective Course*
  • Elective Course*

Year Two - Spring

Building on your growing expertise, you will begin to incorporate more advanced theories and practices in your education. Courses include:

    Evening MBA classes take place at Rowling Hall on the UT-Austin campus—the home of the Texas McCombs MBA. Opened in 2018, this state-of- the-art facility, located near the heart of the campus and a mere five-minute walk from downtown Austin, is designed with your education in mind. Classrooms, meeting rooms, presentation spaces, career management offices, technology labs—all in one beautiful building.

Class Schedules

The Evening MBA program meets for class on Monday and Tuesday evenings. Classes are held at the Texas McCombs MBA campus inside Robert B. Rowling Hall in Austin, Texas.
