Classes begin on January 20, 2015.

The Ford Career Center (FCC) will open January 20 for the first day of spring recruiting.

Thursday, 22nd
5:00pm - 8:30pm, Darrell K Royal – Texas Memorial Stadium
This event offers the perfect venue for kicking off the spring recruiting season.  The primary student audience for this event will be third-year MPA students who are seeking internships, but all MPA students are invited.  Approximately 200 students are expected to attend.  The speed networking format allows participants to have meaningful interactions with a targeted population.

Career Week, hosted by BBA Career Services every fall and spring, provides employers with opportunities to connect with Texas BBA students through a variety of career-related events and workshops. MPA Mock Interview Marathon is designed for you to create a student-friendly image, build your company brand on campus, and identify great candidates early by conducting mock interviews to help students improve their interviewing skills.  Our fall 2014 statistics show that 98% of students felt more prepared for a real interview after they have completed their mock interview(s).  One student even said:  “I loved this experience! I learned so much about myself during this experience and so much about companies I thought I’d never be interested in. Definitely will do this again!” – Fall 2014 MPA MIM Participant

The BBA Etiquette Dinner (held each fall and spring) provides networking practice for approximately 70 BBA students with a networking session in addition to learning the do's and don'ts of business dining etiquette. Since business meetings, trainings, and networking events often involve eating, dining etiquette is an essential career skill. At the MPA Etiquette Dinner, students will learn how to navigate business and recruiting dining occasions with class. As a participating organization, you will interact with MPA students throughout the meal and educate them about available career opportunities. A networking dessert reception at the end provides a chance to connect with additional students.

Friday, 17th

Recruiters meet with one to two students at a time in the morning for initial screening conversations, in five to ten minute intervals.  The flow of students is managed by the Career Management Team.  During the lunch hour, recruiters can peruse the resumes they receive and call candidates to conduct interviews during that afternoon.
