The Center for Global Business

The Center for Global Business has been part of the UT and McCombs tradition since 1989 when it was a Center for International Business and Education Research ("CIBER") funded by the Department of Education. During that time, the Center was integral to the creation and implementation of dozens of education abroad opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students, and well as the establishment of a new mindset concerning the essential educational aspects of international experiences.

In 2018 the Center moved past it's CIBER mandate and stepped into a larger role at the university, promoting global readiness and supporting those students looking to incorporate global readiness into their time at the university. To accomplish this, the Center is crafting the next generation of global leaders by advancing global business acumen and engagement at McCombs through outstanding teaching, research, outreach, and experiential learning. Our Strategic Roadmap – available here – outlines how we plan to support these efforts.

The Center do all this with the help of an exceptional Board of Advisors and Advisory Counsel who believe in our mission, the ‚ÄčAffiliated Faculty who bring an international perspective to the students, and alumni looking to support the next generation of leaders.
