About Canfield BHP

The Canfield Business Honors Program (Canfield BHP) is a prestigious and selective program, offering a curriculum modeled after case-based MBA programs. It challenges students to think outside of the box. Small class sizes of 30 to 40 students allow for increased focus on discussion, presentation, group collaboration, and analytic exercises. Canfield BHP is more than just a top-rate education—it's a community. Special programming coordinated by the program and the Honors Business Association (HBA) provide opportunities for students from all graduating classes to form strong, lasting relationships with one another.

Canfield BHP is now accepting applications through December 1, 2021. Priority deadline is November 1, 2021.

Unique Offerings

Texas CSB >

Texas CSB

Texas Honors Computer Science and Business (Texas CSB) is a new integrated honors degree program between the Canfield Business Honors Program and the Department of Computer Science. Texas CSB provides a rigorous four-year undergraduate curriculum aimed at preparing students for top technology careers. The program offers distinct benefits for students looking toward careers in today’s tech-focused business world. University leaders anticipate that it will attract high-achieving students with strong quantitative and technical skills from across the nation. The program is a particularly attractive opportunity for aspiring entrepreneurs and for students interested in data and marketing analytics, financial engineering, and leadership roles in tech companies. For more information, visit the Texas CSB website.

Texas ECB

The Texas Honors Electrical and Computer Engineering and Business program offers a dual degree that provides hands-on, project-based learning within two of the most in-demand fields in today’s marketplace. Challenging coursework will provide a solid understanding of both business and electrical and computer engineering (ECE), while simultaneously enabling students to earn bachelor's degrees in ECE honors and business honors more quickly than studying each discipline independently. Texas ECB students will have the unique opportunity to establish world-class skills from the outset of their academic journey by learning strong foundations in business, electrical, and computer engineering in honors-level courses starting their first semester.

Texas ECB offers enrolled students a like-minded community, placing them in a small cohort of honors-level peers savvy in both business and engineering. Throughout their four years on the Forty Acres students will focus on team based projects, culminating in a year-long capstone design project.
