Thrive and Be Well

Self-care and well-being are essential to academic success and personal growth. As the demands of work, school and life have changed, the needs of students, faculty, and staff have also evolved. The McCombs Wellness Center is here for you.

  • Wellness Center

The Wellness Center creates opportunities to elevate conversations about well-being and increases access to services already offered on campus. We bring people and programs into one location closer to where McCombs community members work, study, and live. The center seeks to integrate a spectrum of services focused on the holistic well-being of students including the CARE Counselors (Counselors in Academic Residence), Resources in Residence, and Wellness Workshops.
Nice office space with two chairs, a rug, lamp, and art work on the wall.
  • About the Wellness Center

The Wellness Center is located in the CBA north building and is an ideal location that is both easy accessible and private enough for the services offered. Two of the private offices are dedicated to the CARE Counselors, and a third private office is used by our Resources in Residence guests with rotating services. The center also includes a Mind Body Lab and an individual yoga space for students.

Services

  • CARE Program

Full-Time CARE Counselors, Toby LeBlanc and Ineshia Bates, along with part-time practicum counselor, Keoshia Harris, are available to meet individually and in small groups with students in confidential sessions.
  • Wellness Workshops

Wellness workshops include programs such as, How to Be a Successful College Student, Life Skills, Mindfulness Meditation, Embedding Mental Health Practices into Classroom Environments, and Practicing Self Care.
  • Resources in Residence

We offer reservable private offices for wellness professionals from across campus to meet individually and in groups with students, faculty, and staff.
