Biography
Professor Mackie has had 14 years in positions of increasing responsibility in marketing, new business development and management in major corporations, including over 11 years with The Pillsbury Company. Background includes marketing, market research, strategic and tactical planning, budget development, capital planning, staff management and development, business start-up, advertising agency interaction and 5 years of international business management. Five years experience related to Total Quality Management, including research and evaluation, community service with the Austin Quality Council, seminar development and leadership, client consultation, and facilitation. Currently teaching at The University of Texas at Austin, College and Graduate School of Business. Education includes a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology, a master's degree in International Management, and a bachelor's degree in Secondary Education. Professor Mackie is fluent in Spanish.
