Mandy Pope

Mandy Pope is a finance lecturer and director of the Real Estate Center for The University of Texas at Austin’s McCombs School of Business. She teaches real estate development courses to undergraduate and MBA students.

As the Real Estate Center director, she oversees its operations and develops strategic initiatives to advance its academic programs and industry objectives.

Before coming to McCombs, Pope was a principal, the director of operations, and the director of marketing in TBG Partners’ Austin office. She also served on its executive committee. A registered landscape architect, Pope worked on complex projects, such as the Seaholm Power Plant Project in Austin and the 12,000-acre Bridgeland Community in Harris County, before shifting to management roles.

As an executive committee member, she provided leadership in strategic planning, finance, and operations for a nationally recognized firm of 140 employees across six offices. Her experience and expertise include human resources, succession planning, the recruiting process, and competitive compensation and benefits.

She serves on the board of directors of the Real Estate Council of Austin, on the advisory board of Urban Land Institute (ULI) Austin, and on the leadership committee of the Small-Scale Development Product Council with ULI Global.

Pope holds a Bachelor of Science from UT Austin, a master’s degree in landscape architecture from Texas A&M University, and an executive education certificate from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. She also holds an advanced professional certification in leadership in energy and environmental design.
