Moazzam Khoja

Moazzam Khoja is a postdoctoral research fellow in the Department of Finance at The University of Texas at Austin’s McCombs School of Business. In this capacity, he also works in the Fintech Research Lab, with the school’s Blockchain Initiative. In the lab, he is working on several research projects on decentralized finance. He is a chartered financial analyst.

Khoja earned a Ph.D. in finance from the University of Houston, an MBA from Columbia University, and a BBA in finance from Texas McCombs. At the University of Houston, he worked as an instructor and adjunct instructor teaching classes in corporate finance, principles of financial management, and intermediate corporate finance.

Khoja has worked in the financial technology industry as a director of product management at the financial software company Openlink Financial LLC. He created 401 Harmony LLC, a robo-advisory software application that provides customized 401(k) retirement plans, using an algorithm based on behavioral finance. Khoja spent a decade with SunGard Financial Systems, where he was co-head of sales for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and global head of presales. His early work experience was in the energy industry.
