IIM Indore Sends Their Brightest to Texas Executive Education.

For the third consecutive year, Texas Executive Education at The McCombs School of Business hosted 50 students from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) in Indore. IIM Indore, a top-five business school located in Madhya Pradesh, sent their best and brightest for a five-week Custom Program focused on analytics for business excellence.

Taught by eleven University of Texas at Austin McCombs School of Business faculty, IIM Indore students engaged in high-intensity classes designed to expand their abilities in “big data” analytics.  This Texas Executive Education Custom Program provided these students with the tools to develop strategies across industries – all with an emphasis on global perspective. “It is a pleasure to work with the IIM Indore students,” said Dr. Raji Srinivasan, Faculty Director of the IIM Indore Program. “They are very smart, motivated, and fun to teach. This is a great association for McCombs.”

McCombs faculty featured University of Texas at Austin professors who specialize in information technology strategy, business analytics and digital marketing. This highlighted Texas Executive Education’s unique capabilities to develop multi-disciplinary Custom Programs, and sent the IIM Indore students home with a sharpened competitive advantage.

"We take pride in the relationship between IIM Indore and the McCombs School at UT Austin, which allows us to provide the Advanced Program in Analytics for Business Excellence to our students every year. This outstanding offering is completely aligned with our objective of maintaining world-class academic standards. This academically rigorous international immersion gives our Executive MBA students the edge that they need in the competitive Indian market."

The program culminated in a guest speaker series that highlighted the entrepreneurial impact of a deeply analytical approach to business. Speakers included Ethernet inventor Bob Metcalfe, and Red McCombs himself. “The participation of two extra speakers, the legendary entrepreneur Red McCombs and the high-tech pioneer Bob Metcalfe, was a real coup this year,” said Chantal Delys, Assistant Dean and Director of Texas Executive Education. “The IIM Indore students were very excited to meet these iconic figures that so strongly epitomize U.S. business and technology innovation.”

Texas Executive Education believes that the pursuit of knowledge and sharing of academic endeavors must extend far beyond institutional walls. The IIM Indore Partnership Program was a far-reaching success and underscored the importance of intellectual diversity. The more academic institutions can collaborate and extend their global network and community, the better they deliver competitive professionals to a global economy.
