Getting Involved

Throughout the year, MS students have the opportunity to participate in volunteer opportunities, philanthropic events, and other opportunities throughout the year. With events on campus like Girl Day, The Data Open, and numerous individual speakers, our students have multiple ways to learn both in and out of the classroom. 

Utilize our events calendar to stay up to date on current events with Texas Master of Science Programs (events calendar coming soon!).

Student leadership opportunities will be available throughout the year. If you are interested in serving as a student leader, please contact Allison Wilden at allison.wilden@mccombs.utexas.edu.

Graduation

Graduation is posted each year at the bottom of this page. Information regarding graduation will become available in the spring of each year and will be removed from this page in June.

Post-Graduation Information

Library

Spring graduates retain privileges the following summer with their ID up until the 12th class day of classes in the fall. These privileges include:

  • regular student check-out privileges
  • access to InterLibrary services
  • access to most University of Texas Libraries electronic resources
  • use of studies, carrels, or lockers under the guidelines that apply to enrolled students

Gym

Gym membership is valid until 5/31/18. After this, you can buy membership at the office in Gregor Gym (GRE 2.204). More details can be found here: https://www.utrecsports.org/about/memberships/

Student ID

Student EID and passwords remain active. You will need these to order transcripts, apply for jobs at the university, and update your contact information with the registrar's office. You can use your UTMail indefinitely. Your university ID card, Canvas, Bevo Bucks, and Campus Computer Store discounts will all be deactivated.

Alumni strengthen the McCombs and MS Program communities. Stay involved in the MS Programs by updating your contact information with our alumni contact, Allison WIlden at allison.wilden@mccombs.utexas.edu.

Current MS Program students can benefit from alumni experience and knowledge. You can get involved with the current MS Programs students through mock interviews, mentorships, internships, informational interviews, coffee chats and more. Welcome Weekend

Master of Science Welcome Weekend This spring, the Master of Science Programs will host a Welcome Weekend to get Master of Science Program admitted students excited about the McCombs School of Business experience. Admitted students may plan on attending the event February 17-18, 2019. This event is for students who have already enrolled at McCombs or who are still trying to decide - let us show you what makes the Texas McCombs Master of Science Programs special.

Welcome Weekend is an invitation only event. To be considered, you will need to complete your application to the Master of Science degree program of your choice. Prospective students must apply by the October 1 deadline in order to be considered for travel assistance, which may be offered based on distance and need. Applying by the October 1 deadline is not required to attend Welcome Weekend.
